Linh Dang

Secretary

Linh (pronounced Ling) manages the Arts & Imagery program in the Department of Guest Services at Stanford Hospital & Clinics (Palo Alto, CA), ameliorating the patient experience with art for health and visual imagery during hospitalization. She worked for the Walt Disney In-House Ad Agency (Burbank, CA) until moving back to the Silicon Valley during the dotcom boom.

Linh was born in Vietnam and as a refugee to Guam and then the U.S. as a young child during the Vietnam Conflict, she learned to value life and viewed all things beautiful—painting, writing and photography are her passion. She is the founder of FreedomCollage, a group which teaches impoverished and disadvantaged women in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco how to reimagine a new identity and opportunities as artists. She also volunteers in East Palo Alto (CA) with high school girls weekly, offering healthy meals and mentorship.

Linh is on the planning committee for Global Alliance for Art in Health. As a member of the Pacific Art League and Redwood City Art Center, she keeps herself busy creating and teaching art in her spare time.

Linh has a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and minor in Studio Art from San Jose State University.

Linh enjoys rock climbing, yoga and hiking. She lives in Menlo Park, CA.
