Is limited registration for a single day available for the conference?
No. Both the leadership training seminar (Wednesday, September 11th) and the pre-conference workshop (Thursday, September 12th) are available without having to attending the conference. However, it is recommended that those interested either register for all three (3) sessions–leadership training seminar, pre-conference workshop, and conference–or the conference and workshop together.
How does the discount work when registering for both the pre-conference workshops and 2-day summit?
Please add both registrations to your cart for checkout/payment. Our billing system defaults to a combined registration pricing for both events, so the pre-conference workshops will be $195 and the 2-day summit will be $495 for a total of $690 ($621 for active, logged in corporate APPex members; $655.50 for active, logged in individual APPex members). If only registering for the pre-conference workshops, you will initially be charged $195 followed by a subsequent charge of $100 for a total of $295 ($265.50 for active, logged in corporate APPex members; $280.25 for active, logged in individual APPex members).This is the price without the discount of also registering for the 2-day summit).

Is Continuing Education (CE)/Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit offered for the conference?
Yes, CE/CME is awarded for conference attendance. The total credit hours for 2019 is estimated to be 27 (7 are available for the leadership seminar; 6 are available via the pre-conference workshop). Please check the 2019 conference brochure HERE for more detailed information.
APRN & RN CEs are certified through the California Board of Registered Nurse (CA BRN); PA CMEs are certified through the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
Are refunds offered for registrants unable to attend the conference for unanticipated or extenuating circumstances?
Registration for the conference is final and not refundable. In certain extenuating circumstances, APPex may offer a refund–minus a $100 processing fee–if a request is submitted in writing prior to August 4, 2019.
What payment options are available for conference registration?
Online registration and payment via credit card is the preferred and most common method. Prospective attendees can register and pay online HERE. If you are an APPex member or have previously registered on the site, please first login before purchasing your conference registration.

How can individuals present at future conferences?

Abstract submissions for the 2019 conference are open from January 7th through March 10, 2019.
How are speakers selected to present at the conference?
The conference planning committee reviews all submitted abstracts and makes determinations based on topic relevance to advanced practice leadership & administration, as well considering the speaker’s background, experience, and expertise.
Are speakers offered an honorarium?
Yes. All speakers are required to register for the conference. Podium presenters receive a $250 honorarium; panelists receive a $100 honorarium.

Is the Advanced Practice Leadership Training Seminar open to anyone?
Yes, you do not have to be an administrator or an APRN/PA to participate in the training seminar, although the topics covered are most relevant to advanced practice leadership and management. You also do not have to be pursuing a Fellow status within APPex to participate.
What is a Fellow of APPex (FAPPex)?
The Advanced Practice Provider Executives (APPex) fellowship in advanced practice leadership is a two (2) track recognition program for both new and experienced advanced practice administrators. This program has been developed to both train APP leaders in the necessary skill sets with direct responsibility over APP positions, and, to acknowledge the accomplishments of experts and leaders specific involved with advanced practice.
APPex Fellows are selected based on outstanding contributions to advanced practice administration. Upon submission of requirements to APPex, the Board of Advisors will review applicant’s portfolio, assess, and provide a determination of selection. Fellows will be honored and recognized and may use the FAPPex credential.
