Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Residency

The Department of Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center is pleased to offer an Emergency Medicine Residency for the Physician Assistant (PA). Our Residency in Emergency Medicine will be one of a few Emergency Medicine PA residencies offered in the nation and the first residency for Physician Assistants at New York Presbyterian Hospital. We are a tertiary hospital, an approved trauma, cardiac, burn and stroke center and treat over 80,000 Emergency Department patients annually.Our department includes Emergency Medicine specialty services such as Toxicology, Wilderness Medicine, Geriatric Emergency Medicine, and a Global Emergency Medicine program. Our faculty and residents conduct clinical research, sit on several national committees, publish numerous articles and chapters, and present at national conferences.As a Physician Assistant Resident in Emergency medicine, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our high caliber physician residents, board certified Emergency Medicine faculty, and several PA’s and NP’s in our Emergency Department and participate in these activities. You will also rotate on various specialty services at New York Presbyterian Hospital and will work with attending physicians, physician residents, and physician assistants on those services.
