Nurse Practitioner Residency Program

The University of Rochester Family Medicine Residency program and Highland Family Medicine are proud to offer a unique opportunity for family nurse practitioner graduates: The Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. The NP Residency Program at HFM provides FNP graduates with the training required to meet the needs of culturally diverse and clinically complex patients.

NP residents will be exposed to innovative models of primary care that are rooted in evidence-based principles of integrated medical and behavioral healthcare. Team-based care, interprofessional education, and practice efficiency will be emphasized with attention toward ongoing healthcare reform.

No other program offers this true integration of NPs and other healthcare professionals training in the same setting.
