Health professional education extends across a continuum of lifelong learning—from admission into a health professional program to retirement—and should be nationally and globally accessible, simple and convenient to use. Licensed clinicians are required to maintain competence and learn about new and developing areas in their field via activities certified for Continuing Education (CE) and/or Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit. These activities may take place as live events, online programs, written publications, video or audio. Content for these programs is developed, reviewed and delivered by experts in their clinical specialties.
APPex emphasizes APP and interprofessional teaching, preparation and assessment of skills that support effective learning and retention, increased diversity in continuing education methods and self-learning opportunities and the use of technologies to deliver evidence-based information and assess changes in practice. Courses are searchable by title, Subject Matter Expert (SME), role, specialty, popularity and most recently added.
APPex supports CE and CME via both online courses and live/in-person courses.
