The Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (CAPRN), formed in 2010, unites advanced practice nursing organizations across the state of Georgia to improve the healthcare of all Georgians through collaboration, advocacy and legislative initiatives.

Since its formation, the Coalition has grown to represent over 20 associations of advanced practice registered nurses. CAPRN’s membership includes advanced practice registered nursing organizations from all parts of the state. According to Georgia’s Secretary of State’s website, there are approximately 8,000 advanced practice registered nurses licensed in Georgia. These include nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, certified registered nurse anesthetists and clinical nurse specialists.
