Selma Mujezinovic

System Vice President, Advanced Practice Providers


Selma Mujezinovic is the System Vice President of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Rochester Regional Health (RRH) system. She oversees close to 1,100 APPs across various clinical settings. She ensures the provision of the highest quality patient care through providing leadership, consultation and advocacy to ensure all aspects of the APP practice including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNSs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) practice to fullest scope of licensure. She provides day-to-day support for all issues relating to APPs, including credentialing, contracting, education, performance metrics, mentoring, benefit and salary issues, and participate on the appropriate RRH committees that impact these providers.

Selma works closely with Medical Staff Offices and RRH Executive leadership team, assure that all APPs meet or exceed the criteria set forth by the RRH System, the DNV Accreditation, State and Federal Credentialing and scope of practice regulations. She coordinates and leads RRH APP Council, appoints committees/teams as necessary to promote the interests of APPs. Additionally, she works closely with Advanced Practice recruiters to develop and implement recruitment and retention initiatives for APPs to reduce turnover and promote long-term commitment and career development within the system, with the goal of developing a career path for APPs.

Selma completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at St. Johns Fisher College in Rochester, NY. She completed her Masters in Nursing in 2003 and has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in her community ever since.

Selma is avid runner, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, trail running, and swimming. She has enormous drive to move APPs practice forward, her athletic endeavors keep her mind focused on her agenda.
