The Center of Excellence in Advanced Practice designation recognizes healthcare organizations for the development, promotion, and advancement of an institutional/system infrastructure that supports, engages, and embraces Advanced Practice Providers (APPs): Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Nurse Midwives (CNMs), and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs). It identifies organizations that understand the advantages, contributions, and overall value of the advanced practice roles.
