About
Conceptualized in 2014 and its foundational framework first presented in 2015 at the annual Advanced Practice Provider (APRN & PA) Leadership Summit in Chicago, the Center of Excellence in Advanced Practice designation recognizes leading healthcare organizations related to their advanced practice operations and infrastructure. It also provides guidance and insight on key elements paramount to well-led, well-organized, and well-structured institutions in advanced practice, for organizations looking to improve upon their existing practices and departmental structures related to ARPNs & PAs, with the intent of seeking designation and applying to be a Center of Excellence in the near future.
The Center of Excellence in Advanced Practice application consists of five (5) sections:
- Advanced Practice Leadership
- Advanced Practice Infrastructure
- Survey (online)
- Documents & Policies
- Exemplars
Organizations wishing to pursue designation as a Center of Excellence in Advanced Practice should thoroughly and thoughtfully review the application and its requirements prior to applying.
Organizations have 90 days to complete the Center of Excellence in Advanced Practice application beginning from the date the application fee is paid. This includes responding to all required questions in each section and uploading all pertinent documentation.
Applications may be submitted at any time.
