OB/GYN PA Fellowship

The mission of this physician assistant fellowship program is to expand the knowledge of physician assistants in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. We believe that with intensive training our physician assistant fellows will be exceptional providers in the inpatient, outpatient and labor and delivery settings. Fellows typically graduate with having performed over 200 vaginal deliveries and first assisted in over 50 cesarean sections. This program teaches Physician Assistant Fellows to manage complicated and non-complicated antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, postoperative, and acutely ill OB and GYN patients. The curriculum also includes L&D triage management, ER consultations, experience with evaluating and treating common GYN complaints, and routine OB and GYN outpatient care.

With focused post graduate training physician assistants can be an invaluable partner to physicians or obstetricians in an ever changing medical world. In addition to the larger mission of our program we are committed to delivering the highest quality of care to the underserved women of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The strength of our program lies in the superior educational experience provided in state of the art tertiary care settings. Our Fellows are challenged to achieve their full clinical and personal potentials while being academically and emotionally supported.

The program is a twelve month residency. We offer our PA OB/GYN Fellows an annual stipend as well as full medical, dental and vision health benefits. Education allowance, food allowance, malpractice insurance, vacation time, and DEA licensing will also be provided for our Fellows. Fellows attend conferences and training courses in which they receive additional CME credits. Student loan deferment is available to residents.

Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Once your complete application is received, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Class seatings will be staggered throughout the year.
