Urgent Care Fellowship

Due to the growing number of patients seeking immediate care at urgent care facilities, highly skilled advanced practice providers (APPs) are needed to meet the demand. Urgent care nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) must gain the skills to efficiently provide care for complex acute illnesses and injuries while accurately making medical decisions and managing patients and resources.

The Atrium Health Urgent Care Fellowship is a 12-month program designed to train advanced practice providers in the evaluation, management and treatment of patients of all ages. For those interested in rural care settings, we also offer a rural urgent care fellowship track.
