Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences offers a 12-month postgraduate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

This comprehensive and competitive postgraduate program is designed to provide structured specialty training and education for highly qualified nurse practitioners (NPs) or physician assistants (PAs). The fellowship curriculum is founded on the Mayo Clinic principle that the clinical practice drives research and education. Our curriculum is comprised of didactic learning, research, and mentored outpatient and inpatient rotations related to an interprofessional, collaborative gastroenterology and hepatology practice. The program is intended for all practitioners, both new graduates and practicing NPs or PAs, who are interested in establishing a rewarding career in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Throughout the fellowship program, you will work closely with the renowned faculty of distinguished physicians and the highly recognized and specialized NPs and PAs of the leading Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division in the nation.

Upon graduating, you will receive a certificate from Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences documenting successful completion of a 12-month postgraduate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship. This certificate verifies that each fellow has completed all of the components outlined in the curriculum and has achieved program competencies.
