NP/PA Hematology Fellowship
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Hematology Fellowship prepares NP and PA graduates to become skilled, compassionate and confident providers in the hematology specialty. Didactic responsibilities include but are not limited to; required readings, online learning modules, skills training at the Mayo Clinic Multidisciplinary Simulation Center, grand rounds, journal clubs presentations and educational conferences. A five-week hematology lecture series at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine is also required. Clinical rotations include but are not limited to; Hematology inpatient service, Hematology hospital-based outpatient, Hematology diagnostic clinic, leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome, lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, dysproteinemia, benign hematology and coagulation, Blood and marrow transplant, Transfusion medicine, Palliative care, hematopathology, radiation oncology, infectious disease, and hospital internal medicine.
