Postgraduate Physician Assistant Fellowship Hospital Medicine
University of Missouri School of Medicine offers a 12-month postgraduate Physician Assistant Fellowship Hospital Medicine program in Columbia, Missouri. This fellowship program is designed to implement a more focused career, providing the graduate PA with tailored training curriculum in Hospital Medicine and specialty practices.
University Hospital is a 300-bed hospital in central Missouri. It serves as central Missouri’s only Level I trauma center and as a tertiary referral center for much of mid-Missouri. University Hospital is located on the MU campus, along with its academic partners, the School of Medicine, the Sinclair School of Nursing, and the School of Health Professions. As part of an academic medical center, University Hospital is host to many physician residency and fellowship programs.
Physician Assistants will develop leadership skills that are considered essential for PA leaders, learning how to become a teacher and mentor, conducting clinical research, focusing on performance improvement, and gaining more clinical experience, all while learning about the business side of hospital medicine.
