Psychiatry Physician Assistant Fellowship – Adult
The Psychiatry Physician Assistant Fellowship provides two unique and intensive training programs in psychiatry: general adult psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry. Fellows gain experience in a variety of clinical settings with a diverse patient population. The program is balanced, with didactic education and training in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, diagnosis, and management.
The fellowship combines a structured didactic program with a comprehensive clinical experience. The goal is to train PAs to become proficient clinicians, educators, and leaders in clinical and academic psychiatry. The training is based on a core curriculum of clinical assignments, seminars, and individual supervision. Fellows learn psychopharmacologic and psychotherapeutic treatments for disorders throughout the life cycle. The didactic curriculum complements the hands-on experience and is designed to help fellows acquire a comprehensive and current base of knowledge of psychiatry.
