Doctor of Nursing Practice Genetics Fellowship for Family Nurse Practitioners

The Doctor of Nursing Practice Genetics Fellowship for Family Nurse Practitioners combines a two-year post-master’s DNP curriculum with a two-year paid fellowship in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Medical Genetics and Genomic Medicine. This program is a joint effort between the Schools of Nursing (Doctor of Nursing Practice {DNP} Program) and Medicine (Division of Medical Genetics and Genomic Medicine) at Vanderbilt University.

The goal of the fellowship program is to prepare practice scholars to become leaders in bringing evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice, improve health care outcomes, and strengthen nursing management and education with an emphasis on clinical genetics, medical genomics, metabolic disorders, and newborn screening.
