Nurse Practitioner Post-Graduate Residency Program

The WCCHC Nurse Practitioner (NP) Post-Graduate Residency Program began in 2015 to help new family and adult nurse practitioners expand their competency to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services. The program offers the NP a 12-month, full-time salaried position working directly with specialists and primary care providers to increase their confidence and knowledge in caring for patients – especially those with multiple chronic conditions. In addition to hands-on experience in the clinics, the residents also attend lectures on a variety of subjects that build on their current knowledge of disease processes, treatment options, and medications.
