EM APP Residency Program

Yale Emergency Medicine offers a postgraduate training program for physician assistants and family nurse practitioners pursuing advanced education in emergency medicine. The program is an 18-month residency, offering a combination of didactic education and extensive clinical experience. Residents will have the opportunity to rotate through a wide spectrum of clinical settings, both within the emergency department and with a variety of other services within the hospital. The program objective is to produce a skilled health care practitioner with a high degree of comfort managing the full spectrum of emergency department patients.
