Founded in 1939, the Illinois Association of Nurse Anesthetists, is the leading advocacy organization for CRNAs and the nurse anesthesia profession in Illinois. IANA helps anesthesia professionals develop their skills and further their careers by providing access to unique and relevant content and exclusive member services. IANA provides continuity and support, guidance and leadership development opportunities to Certified Nurse Anesthetists and anesthesia students across Illinois.

The non-profit association was created to organize CRNAs to support and encourage the art and science of anesthesiology. In the spirit of pioneer anesthetists, today the IANA works together in the provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of our profession, as well as strong legislative and regulatory advocacy in this era of never ceasing legislative, reimbursement and work environment challenges.
