Partner/Co-Host FAQs
How does an organization become a partner/co-host with APPex for an event?
Send an email to events@APPexecutives.org, or, via the CONTACT US section HERE.
Leading academic medical centers, hospital systems, community hospitals, and other healthcare organizations related to their advanced practice infrastructure, operations, and APRN/PA staff present as excellent partners/co-hosts for both mini-conferences and monthly conferences. Professional membership organizations focused around advanced practice and whose members are APRNs and/or PAs also make strong partners/co-hosts for monthly conferences.
Besides proposing an agenda with either 3-3.5 hours of content (mini-conference) or 6.5 hours of content (monthly conference), what other responsibilities does the partner/co-host organization have?
None, APPex does all the rest of the work! Helping to share information about the conference/event (e.g., save-the-date flyer, agenda, brochure, website for registration, etc.) is encouraged.
(Speakers/Presenters do have to provide the required information and materials so APPex can certify the content for continuing education (CE/CME) credit.)
What benefits does a partner/co-host organization receive?
Benefits to partnering/co-hosting a conference/event with APPex are outlined in the BENEFITS section HERE.
How does a partner/co-host organization know which months are available for scheduling the conference/event in which they will be featured?
An advanced practice representative will work with our Director of Continuing Education & Nurse Planner to find an available month and specific date.
How far in advance does a partner/co-host organization need to prepare an agenda and schedule the conference/event in which they will be featured?
At least 14-16 weeks. This allows ample time for APPex to develop the brochure, advertise, and disseminate information about the conference/event to its members and network. It also allows time for speakers/presenters to provide the required information and materials so APPex can certify the content for continuing education (CE/CME) credit.
What information and materials are required from speakers/presenters?
APPex has developed a private (invitation only) section of its website designed as a simple and easy way for speakers/presenters to submit all of their information and materials. There are seven (7) sections total, each with a set due date for when all items in that section need to be completed. Speaker/Presenters receive an email invitation with a link to this section once they have been confirmed. They will also receive email notifications when they have incomplete sections due in one (1) week and if any are overdue.
These seven (7) sections are: 1) Speaker Information, 2) Presentation Information, 3) Speaker Agreement, 4) Speaker Biography & Photograph, 5) Presentation Slide Deck, 6) Event Registration, and 7) Honorarium.
What benefits do speakers/presenters receive?
Speakers/Presenters receive a $100 honorarium.
(Speakers/Presenters are required to register for the event.)
How does the partner/co-host organization’s staff or affiliates receive the registration discount?
APPex will provide a customized coupon code to the organization’s advanced practice representative once the conference/event is confirmed and scheduled.
The organization contact can distribute to their colleagues, staff, affiliates, administrators, etc. within the organization.
Mini-Conference discount= 50% off registration (regularly $195; $97.50 savings)
Monthly Conference discount= $15 registration (regularly $95; $80 savings)
Is the conference/event recorded and are the presentations available afterwards?
Yes, all conferences/events are recorded.
Conference materials, which include presentation videos, slide decks, and speaker bios/photos, are available to all registrants.
Who owns the rights to the content of the conference/event?
Speakers/Presenters grant a non-exclusive, unlimited, irrevocable, global and royalty-free license to APPex to record the presentation via any medium and to reproduce, display, create derivative works from, and disseminate the recorded presentation and presentation materials.
